I don't know if it's the dark evenings or the fact that every day life seems to have doubled in speed the last couple of months, but lately I have been longing for glam and luxury (more than usual, that is). So I started a new tradition in our house - Friday Drinks. Come Friday morning, I start my search for a new drink recipe to try. I like it to be something that suits the season as well as my mood. This week we had our first snowfall and so I wanted something warm to sip in front of the fireplace. I started with a basic recipe of Apple cider and Whiskey, but made some little tweaks to add some heat and spice. It turned out really great so I encourage you to try it out!
3/4 cup / 1.5 dl apple cider (or äppelmust if you're in Sweden)
2 tbs / 3 cl rye whiskey
1-2 pcs of star anise
1 cinnamon stick
Heat the apple cider, but it should not boil. Add the whiskey and the spices and enjoy!
