Ahhh. Friday night and time for drinks. This week I'm going to celebrate with a new whisky cocktail. The recipe is given to me by a friend who has won competitions with it, but doesn't have a name for it. How does that happen? I don't understand. Maybe it has a name somewhere that I don't know about, but I am going to call it Whisky & Friends.
Whisky & Friends
0.5 oz Benedictine
0.25 oz Fernet Branca
4-5 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
3-4 dashes grapefruit or rhubarb bitters
Stir all over ice for about 80 quick stirs. Strain into chilled rocks glass, twist orange peel over top of drink and rub around rim and drop in.
