Phew, what a week! I've been alone with the kids this week since my husband has been traveling. My boys usually behave better when it's just one of us home, but between school bells to be in time for, homework, soccer practices, show and tell, bedtime routine, lunch boxes, snacks, dinner and work I will admit I am pretty happy it's Friday! Plus, I miss his company and it will be great to have him home in a few hours again. To top the week off, it's been snowing all day today. It's been wet and soggy and grey. No snow sticks to the ground at this point (we ARE about to enter May!), so we don't even get the bright white fluffy cover to look at. So when the rest of the world is getting excited for spring planting, I'm going to keep my focus indoors for at least another weekend or two. How appropriate then that I had a new collection of wallpaper to get inspired by!
The wallpaper is created by Borastapeter, the oldest wall paper manufacturer in Sweden, in collaboration with Lexington. Have you heard about Lexington before? I simply love their style! Very, very Americana but in a slightly rustic manner. Their products will make you think about New Hampshire, boats and beaches and sunny days off. And now we can get that style on our walls as well. I really think there are some great patterns and colors here that will work for a long time.
Each pattern is named after an author that lived and worked in New England. We're seeing a lot of stripes but also flowers and shells and literary references, of course. The collection also contains two maps of New England and Boston Harbor that can be used in combination with the patterns or on their own.
Go ahead and get lost in these soft and classic patterns..and then tell me which one you like best! I have a clear favorite..but I won't tell unless you tell me first!
Have a really great weekend everyone!
