What do you think? Isn't it time for some home inspiration? This apartment (styled and sold by Alvhem) has a lot of the 'usual' styled up elements, but there's something really friendly and easygoing about this, and I bet that's why it's already gotten so much attention. Want to take a quick look?
I think the first thing that hits you about this apartment is the kitchen. We've seen marble in plenty of kitchens before and it's felt worn out at times, but here it feels just right. Not cold and hard. Just a little dressed up. And I really like the placement of the upper cabinets, how they leave room on the side rather than running across the entire wall.
Ready to move on to the bedrooms? Grey and linen...sound familiar :-) What interests me the most is the flush closet doors. They really help create that calm look in here. And I also like that the kids bedroom is brighter with more whites. Leaves more room for play and joy.
And then some living room and hallway pictures so you can see how the apartment is laid out. That black and blonde wood shelf in the office has been stuck on my mind for the past few days.. I think I'm going to have to FYI something similar.
I saved the best for last! I'm really liking how they've used these marble hexagon tiles in this bathroom. The bathroom itself is white and a little plain. I think a regular marble floor would have gotten boring in here, but with the hexagon pattern it feels updated and more exciting. At the same time, I think these hexagon tiles can get a little busy, but against the white walls it really gets to be the hero it deserves to be. It's a perfect match! And like this, the marble makes me think of soft heather grey hoodie, not at all the cold and hard associations you usually get with marble.
What do you think? Yay or nay? What would you take to your home from here?
