We're only in May and we have already seen a bunch of new wallpaper collections. Not that I mind at all, I love the impact wallpaper can have on an interior and seeing how new patterns and colors can provide new styles and atmospheres is always inspiring.
This collection from Eco Wallpaper is called 'Beyond Colour'. The focus has been put more towards structure and materials than colors, which are kept very natural. Think wood, sand, paper, clay, stone. Just like with the Front Collection, they're playing with the key advantage to wallpaper as opposed to painting - being able to add depth and tactility to your walls. It adds dimension and atmosphere.
I think we long for these natural materials very much in our surroundings right now. When we built our summer house I chose to use semi-rough wood planks for most of the walls. Natural materials just help us relax. They're imperfect and allow us be as well. Now, putting up wood planks on your walls is not as easy as putting up wallpaper, so for an existing house I would definitely recommend the latter!
I really like their press images of the collection (above), some of the patterns are almost poetic! And if you're interested in getting some of these, I know Scandinavian Wallpaper carries Eco Wallpaper in the US so check to see if they have gotten this collection in store.
I'm off to a full day of meetings at work followed by BBQ and drinks, hope you're all looking forward to a great day as well!
